Ashley was sold off as a conscript to Garlemald when he was eighteen, and managed to escape after a few years of service. Garleans may be familiar with him, if they served with him / were his superiors, or followed in his footsteps to get the hell outta there.

Ashley is pretty frequently seen and heard of in the streets of Ul'dah, usually sleeping on benches or in Pearl Lane - making it easy to find him if you're looking for a contact or a service he can help with.
Looking for Business?:
Ashley's services include infiltrating and gathering intel and information; investigating strange occurrences or crimes, such as robberies, kidnappings and disappearances, crime rings, and even the paranormal.
He is known to sell information, too, if one is looking for something specific.
He's an adequate strategist and often is the one forming a plan for said infiltrations or investigations - making him a prime candidate for either engaging or avoiding conflicts.
If you're looking for cheap gifts, Ashley repurposes small items and junk into jewelry in his spare time - he doesn't really advertise them, though, but he does have a few attached to his belt or bags.
